Q1. What motivated Beacon to pursue a strategic partnership with SotaTek?
A. We were introduced to SotaTek by Vice President Tae-sik Jeon, whom we know through SAP business. After learning in detail about SotaTek’s technical expertise and global capabilities, we believed that combining these strengths with Beacon Korea’s consulting expertise would create significant synergy, which led to this partnership.
Q2. Why did Beacon choose SotaTek as its Global Delivery Center partner?
A. Beacon Korea is involved in various overseas projects, requiring a strong pool of development resources. SotaTek has an extensive team of talented global developers that we do not have internally, making them the ideal partner to fill our gaps and maximize results.
Q3. In your view, what strengths does SotaTek bring to support global SAP clients?
A. In Korea, SAP cloud solution developers are in short supply. SotaTek, on the other hand, has a strong pool of skilled developers and a well-established global talent network, which allows us to expect excellent outcomes through collaboration.
Q4. What kind of collaborative working model do you envision with SotaTek?
A. Beacon Korea has strong consulting expertise in SAP solutions but lacks post-project operational support resources. If SotaTek can provide stable operation and maintenance support after project completion, it would create a sustainable and effective collaboration model.
Q5. What challenges do you foresee in this partnership, and how can we overcome them together?
A. To fully function as an SAP Global Delivery Center (GDC), SotaTek needs in-depth knowledge of SAP cloud solutions. While this area is currently a challenge, Beacon Korea plans to share its expertise systematically to build a strong foundation for mutual growth.
Q6. Can you share your long-term roadmap, including SAP S/4HANA Public and ByDesign?
A. Beacon Korea is one of the pioneers in the Korean market for SAP cloud solutions, with extensive implementation and consulting experience. SotaTek’s large development team complements our expertise, and together, we aim to secure a leading position in the SAP cloud market.
Q7. What message would you like to convey to the SotaTek team?
A. Entering the SAP market as a consultant or developer is not easy. Most clients prefer senior consultants, and it typically takes at least three years of study and company-backed investment for juniors to be recognized. Through this partnership, we hope SotaTek’s team gains real project experience and grows into top-tier consultants. Beacon Korea will actively support this, and we hope SotaTek continues to nurture and retain talented professionals.
