SotaTek Participates and Shares Blockchain’s Legal and Financial Potential at Hanoi Law University

SotaTek delivered an in-depth presentation on the legal landscape and real-world applications of Blockchain at the conference “Legal Policies in Securities and Digital Trading Platforms in the Context of Digital Transformation”, an event organized under the direction of the Hanoi Youth Union to promote digital knowledge, innovation, and entrepreneurship among university students.

The conference forms part of a city-wide initiative to strengthen students’ understanding of law, finance, and technology amid rapid digitalization. As electronic transactions, online investment models, and blockchain-based platforms become more prevalent, the event aimed to equip young participants with essential competencies for the digital economy, including legal awareness, technological insight, and analytical skills.

The program brought together legal scholars, technology experts, and representatives from major digital enterprises, alongside lecturers from Hanoi Law University. Discussions centered on emerging issues such as electronic contracts, digital trading platforms, Blockchain technology, and the legal frameworks governing digital investments, reflecting growing national interest in the development of secure and regulated digital markets.

In his keynote session, Mr. Harry Vu provided a comprehensive overview of Blockchain’s core attributes, decentralization, transparency, and immutability, and explained why these characteristics make the technology a transformative force in finance, banking, and securities. Citing Vietnam’s strong global standing, including its #4 ranking worldwide in crypto adoption and significant digital asset activity, he emphasized the country’s strategic potential to become a regional leader in Blockchain innovation.

Mr. Harry Vu outlined practical applications already shaping global financial systems: cross-border payments, asset tokenization, automated lending using smart contracts, and blockchain-based securities clearing. He also highlighted the technology’s role in ensuring transparent ownership records and accelerating settlement processes. However, he noted that adoption must go hand in hand with appropriate regulations, stressing the importance of token classification, sandbox models, KYC/AML compliance, and cybersecurity standards in building a safe and sustainable digital ecosystem.

Drawing from SotaTek’s own case studies, He showcased notable projects such as the Blockchain-based National Certificate Verification System developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Education & Training, and SOTA SCT, a supply chain traceability platform using HyperLedger Fabric with successful deployments in manufacturing, food traceability, and automotive industries. These examples, he said, demonstrate how Blockchain is already delivering tangible value across sectors in Vietnam.

The conference also featured the official launch of the Hanoi Law University Data Club and the Data Taskforce under the National Data Association (NDA) - new platforms designed to encourage collaboration, research, and innovative projects among students aspiring to work at the intersection of law and technology.

Aimed at fostering a new generation of legally grounded innovators, the event underscored the vision of cultivating students who can “understand the law, apply the law, and innovate with the law” in the era of Industry 4.0. With the participation of leading enterprises like SotaTek, the conference stands as one of the year’s most significant gatherings exploring the convergence of legal policy and cutting-edge technology in Vietnam.
